Our principal, Ian Tindale, has 30 years
protective security and law enforcement experience with 27 years as an
instructor in both the private and government sectors. He is formerly an
Inspector with the NSW Sheriffs Office and Officer-in-Charge of the
Operational Training and Support Unit.
Ian is an accomplished instructor having
taught nationally across
Australia and Internationally. Ian
holds numerous qualifications in the employ and education of use of
force skills and equipment. He has authored several articles relating to
tactics, use of force and operational safety. He has won awards and
recognition for his training and has appeared on television and in
newspaper in relation to training.
Ian is a Safariland Master (Monadnock International) Instructor in the
Straight Baton, PR-24, Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) and Defensive
including Staff Instructor at the
Monadnock Police Training Council conference in New Orleans, LA, and Boston, MA, USA.
He is a Master Instructor in Defensive Tactics, Compliance and Control Holds, Handcuffing,
Mini-Baton, Stinger Stun Gun. He holds numerous Instructor
qualifications in lethal and non-lethal force options, specialised use
of force, first aid, and procedural matters.
He holds a Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), Diploma of Training &
Assessment Systems, a Diploma of Business, a Diploma of Security and
Risk Management, an Advanced Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety
and an Advanced Diploma of Security.
is the Australian Liaison for the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association
(ILEETA) and has taught on numerous occasions at their conference in Chicago, IL and St. Louis MO, USA.
